HIST 210 introduces students to the major economic, political, social, scientific, and technological developments in post-Second-World-War history. The course is based on four broad themes: global interrelatedness; identity and difference; rise of the mass society; and technology versus nature, which serve as a guide to understanding the material in each unit of the course. It follows History 209: A History of the World in the Twentieth Century: I, which covers the first half of the twentieth century.
